Webselenese, one of the Kape Technologies brands, is an industry-leading performance marketing company. The team at WCM (Webselenese ContentMatters) recruits and trains freelance writers and editors before placing them on one of the company's sites.

Every team in the company (including WCM) is almost exclusively staffed and managed by freelancers located in different countries. They are pros at working remotely and even have a dedicated HR manager for freelancers. The company works hard to ensure that everyone really feels like an essential part of the team, ensuring remote workers can truly commit to their roles.

In the last year, WCM has trained and placed more than 50 writers and editors on the company’s different sites. They’ve also developed different training tracks, including helping writers learn to be editors, and boot camp-style upskilling to help people improve their writing and research skills.

Right now, WCM is looking for a Recruiter to help find high-quality leads on different platforms and acquire a constant stream of potential writers and editors.

As the new Recruiter, you will:

  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Take ownership of the candidate experience by managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
  • Facilitate the offer process
  • Manage the onboarding process
  • Stay ahead of recruiting trends and best practices
  • Manage the overall search, outreach, and testing process

The company uses Asana for task management and Slack for communication.

The role will include a one-month trial period where you’ll receive lots of support as you learn more about the role and company. Your training will include assistance in writing ads, meetings with WCM’s program director, and guidance on how to identify good potential candidates.

This can be a part-time or a full-time role and requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, especially during the initial trial month. Ideally, it will develop into 30–40 hours/week. You can plan your own schedule, but it’s very important to commit during working hours and attend team meetings.

To be a successful candidate for this role, you need:

  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Proven experience working as a recruiter
  • A strong work ethic
  • Willingness to take feedback
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods

Bonus points for any demonstrable experience writing in English, managing projects, and dealing with outreach.
