Newfangled is a business development, digital marketing consultancy. They work primarily with small- to medium-sized creative agencies, digital shops, and other knowledge-based firms. Newfangled helps these companies market themselves and, perhaps most importantly, track the success of their marketing. To help clients do this, they offer a collection of in-house WordPress plugins and a custom-built analytics/synthesis/AI application. They have more than doubled in size during the past two years and are currently working to create smart efficiencies in their processes.

More and more clients rely heavily on their tools and strategic consulting, which creates a great opportunity to get the features that genuinely help their success as a business. The Newfangled team is fully remote and has developed a strong culture as a remote organization. They are a close-knit team, and the company wants its employees' professional lives to be something they truly enjoy but aren't utterly consumed by. It is a results-oriented team of professionals who like to get things done — and done well.

At the moment, Newfangled is looking for a Project Coordinator who will take the editorial plans for their content marketing clients and create templated Google content documents, update Asana (their project management system) tasks and assignments, and manage communications between team members. In this role, you will play an important part in the company and be a valuable asset to the internal team as you streamline efficiencies and ensure that information in the project management system is up-to-date. More specifically, within this position, you will:

  • Take editorial plans for the clients and copy crucial strategic parameters into Google Docs templates
  • Update security settings on documents according to client and internal needs
  • Create Asana tasks and use them to share Google Docs with the team members
  • Communicate Asana and content document updates to the full account team
  • Report to the Director of Content Marketing and interact with team of 4 content strategists

In your first weeks at Newfangled, the Director of Content Marketing will organize training for you so that you can learn to use Google Sheets to track editorial parameters, understand the strategic parameters used for topic ideation, and set up Google Docs and Asana. You will also take on a handful of clients and start owning project coordination tasks.

In order to excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Great admin and / or coordination experience with references
  • Excellent attention to detail and efficiency
  • Great computer skills and the ability to use technology effectively; ideally, you are highly experienced with Google Sheets and Documents
  • Ability to ask the right questions in order to ensure the successful task completion

Brownie points for experience with Asana or other project management software.

  • Flexible working hours: During your training, you will need to be available for some hours between 2 PM and 10 PM GMT, but as soon as your training is complete, you will be free to set up your own working hours
