As a Procurement Specialist at CurvGroup, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s inventory management process. Your keen forecasting skills and expertise in maintaining safety stock levels will be instrumental in proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges.

In this role, you will:

📊 Analyze Inventory: Utilize your expertise to analyze inventory levels, trends, and demand patterns, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory.

🔍 Forecast Problems: Anticipate and forecast potential issues that could impact inventory management and operational efficiency. Take proactive measures by advising the sales team on order limitations and budgetary constraints to mitigate risks and prevent chargebacks and customer complaints.

💼 Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and operations, to align inventory strategies and ensure seamless coordination. Foster open communication channels to share insights, address challenges, and implement effective solutions.

📉 Handle Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies and contingency plans to manage potential inventory-related risks. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies, making necessary adjustments as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Additionally, your role as a Procurement Specialist will consist of:

80% Procurement & Logistics:

  • Placing PO's
  • Coordinating logistics
  • Netsuite organisation and accuracy
  • Customs, VAT, importation paperwork
  • Timeline monitoring
  • Vendor Scorecards
  • Factory coordination

20% Demand planning:

  • Understanding demand planning and participating in it
  • Sourcing details (materials, designs, etc.)
  • Support in finding new factories
  • Product testing

This is a full-time role and you’ll have the flexibility to choose your working hours, as long as they are between 1 PM and 11 PM CET, with the exception of Black Friday and other occasions that may require additional time.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • 1+ years of experience working with NetSuite or ERP, specifically in handling inventory management.
  • Strong familiarity with eCommerce operations and platforms, as well as experience in managing inventory in dynamic eCommerce environments, such as websites or marketplaces like Amazon, where sales volumes can vary significantly from month to month.
  • Experience working with Chinese suppliers and a deep understanding of Chinese culture and business practices. The ability to effectively navigate and collaborate with Chinese suppliers is crucial.
