Autism Parenting Magazine improves the quality of life for families affected by autism all around the world. They release a monthly magazine, run virtual summits and offer courses to help parents.
The company consists of a diverse team of all ages, backgrounds, faiths and locations, spread across the UK, USA, Philippines, South Africa and Eastern Europe. There are 12 full-time staff members and multiple freelancers, with everyone working completely remotely.

As an Editorial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Editor with various tasks related to content creation, including the monthly Magazine, SEO-optimized website content, and the organization of summits. To thrive in this role, you must possess a passion for this type of work, understand the sensitivities of the autism niche, and be adaptable to researching and learning on the go.
Responsibilities đź“‹:
🤝 Assist the Editor with ad hoc administrative tasks, including communication and coordination with freelancers, contributors, and experts.
🔍 Research, pitch, and write informative articles for the Magazine, ensuring factual accuracy and maintaining the magazine's writing style.
đź’» Conduct research, pitch, and write Search Engine Optimization (SEO) blog posts.
📝 Edit articles when required, adhering to SEO best practices, and accurately upload content to the company’s Content Management System (WordPress).
📧 Support the Editor in managing the Editor's mailbox efficiently.
🎤 Help in arranging speakers for the bi-annual Summit by conducting relevant topic research, compiling questions
🏨Host some of the bi-annual summit sessions
đź“š Perform ad hoc research on assigned topics for content briefs.
Onboarding and training will be provided to ensure your success in the role. The HR manager and Editor will conduct comprehensive training and provide support during the three-month probation period.
This is a full-time position and you’ll ideally work during UK/SA business hours. Some flexibility may be available for working later in the day or starting earlier, as long as core hours are agreed upon.
Please be aware that you’ll be required to use the Hubstaff time tracker for accurate monitoring and recording of working hours.
Note that PayPal is the sole payment option available for this position.
