Chibebe is an eCommerce business providing high-quality baby bean bags & accessories. They focus on quality and aim to create beneficial and safe products, offering only the best for their customers.
The baby bean bags are not only adorable - it has been reported that they prevent reflux and flat head symptoms in babies, and even help with breathing disorders and other medical issues. Even better, the product is flexible and can be transformed from a baby lounger to a toddler seat as the child grows. It’s no wonder every new parent has this product on their wish list!
The product was first introduced to Australia & New Zealand in 2012, and has since evolved into a popular brand there. The new owners have now expanded into the US market and are looking for a talented employee to help grow the business in the US & beyond.
Currently, Chibebe is looking for an eCommerce Operations Manager to help bring the entire business forward & grow even further.
As the new eCommerce Operations Manager, you will:
- Deal with product orders and manage inventory
- Manage raw materials database in Airtable and seek out additional manufacturers as needed in China or elsewhere
- Figure out proper labels & changes needed for US products to comply with safety regulations
- Gain a thorough understanding of company financials, metrics and goals and be able to reconcile/highlight them back to the business owner
- Measure & optimize the company website
- Negotiate future partnerships
- Edit videos and user-generated photos
- Manage the Ad Agency & Customer Support Rep
- Come up with marketing strategies & ideas for improvement
- Other ad hoc growth projects
During the first few weeks, you’ll be trained by the CEO & learn more about the company and your responsibilities. After that, you’ll communicate via Slack and have regular check-ins at biweekly meetings.
This is a full-time position, and you need to have at least 3-4 hours overlapping with EST.

To be a successful candidate, you need:
- 2 years of experience in eCommerce
- Experience using Shopify
- Excellent English skills - speaking & writing
- Great negotiation skills as you’ll be working with partners and suppliers
- Ambition & perseverance
- Ability to adapt & take on multiple projects
- Tech savviness
- Excellent research skills
- Curiosity to constantly learn and improve!
The ideal candidate would be able to handle many different tasks - from cold outreach to potential partners to inventory management and video editing. The role comes with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility, so it’s important to be proactive, take initiative & constantly work to move the business forward!
