Although headquartered in the United States, Cross Path Capital is globally oriented and has team members in North America, Europe and Asia. Everyone on the team has a passion for learning and taking responsibility for their work, valuing transparent and effective communication. Cross Path Capital is in the midst of shifting tons of data into BigQuery and PowerBI so that the company can better synthesise performance, answer difficult business questions, and scale faster. They are currently looking for a Business & Data Analyst to build the foundation of data available in BigQuery. This person would be focused on pulling in raw data sources from various software systems and manipulating it into desired reporting format. Once this baseline data architecture is complete, the company will accelerate insights through reporting and visualization in PowerBI.

The extent of training provided will be based on your prior experience. The company will provide comprehensive training on all Amazon-specific and internal software systems. Also, the team will offer full support to help you understand how their data sources are linked.

This is a part-time position with 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to scale to 20 hours per week after a 3-month trial period. Your working hours need to overlap with Eastern European Time (EET).

To excel in this role, you need:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with BigQuery - fully comfortable building new tables and updating existing tables that run off external data sources, building views and query optimization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with PowerBI and experience building DAX measures.
  • Coding fluency, transforming business requirements into technical code that will return the desired data (either in BQ or through calls to APIs). Experience with Python/data processing libraries.
  • A clear communication style: you are able to explain technical complexity in a way that is easy for non-technical team members to digest and in a way that enables trade-off decisions
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to develop subject matter expertise quickly – you will know the company’s data architecture better than anyone else within 1-2 months of joining
  • A collaboration-first approach and the ability to ingest requirements and quickly surface feedback to enable rapid iteration/execution

Brownie points for experience working with eCommerce companies, especially Amazon marketplace sellers, and/or experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Google Sheets.

What’s in it for you?

  • $15 - $20 per hour*
  • Part-time and fully remote
  • Opportunities for growth

*Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor.
