TLC Creative Services, Inc. is a well-established graphic design studio with a 20-year track record working with corporate clients. Today, they focus on Powerpoint presentation design, supporting live corporate event presentations, and providing a client-branded portal to virtual meetings and live-stream sessions. TLC Creative Services is a small studio with a talented and ambitious team that love working with companies on creative projects.

Since 2020, TLC Creative Services has been operating mostly remotely, with local team members only at the office part-time. There is an ever-changing list of new projects. They have built a culture where they treat one another with respect and courtesy, but also have fun, chat, share jokes and feel comfortable sharing about life while working together.

TLC Creative Services is currently looking for a WordPress Developer to join their team.

Within this role, you will:

• Handle WordPress site management and design
• Manage technical and creative projects from start to finish
• Research, test and implement new site features
• Communicate with TLC team and clients

The role will be 40% developer, 30% content manager (including managing a site during live events) and 20% client interaction, so this is a perfect role for a well-rounded WordPress expert that is looking for a long-term position. You’ll be interacting with the design team and the Project Coordinator on a daily basis and will be reporting to the two lead managers.

During the onboarding process, you will attend meetings where you’ll learn more about the company and each part of the workflow, logistics and processes. Then, you’ll shadow managers as they handle daily communication and operations. After the two-week onboarding, you will be able to contribute to the process significantly.

To be a successful candidate, you need:

• 3+ years of professional WordPress experience working in the theme, integrating plugins (not just managing content through the CMS)
• General hosting experience (setting up the domain, setting up Cloudflare account, managing DNS and MX records, etc.)
• University degree or professional certificate
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Experience in Avada theme, Formidable, Zapier, and WordPress plugins
• Excellent spoken and written English, and excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellence at reviewing input and identifying actionable tasks that need to be accomplished
• High level of computer skills, ability to quickly learn new software
• Reliable internet (20/20 Mbps minimum)

Brownie points for:

• Experience in the design industry or other creative fields
• Experience with live events (corporate meetings, award shows)
• Familiarity with other web development environments

This role is perfect for someone who would enjoy managing WordPress instances in an AWS environment to assure everything is organized and up to date. You’ll also be required to interact with co-workers and end-clients, making sure project management has all the necessary information.

This is a full-time position, and you need to have at least three hours of overlap with the (UTC -7) California-based working hours of 8 AM - 5 PM PT.
