Their development team consists of Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developers, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developers, Mobile Developers (iOS & Android), Software Testers (Automation & Manual), Mulesoft Developers, and Project Managers. TJC is looking for a Shopify Developer to join their team and build & customise eCommerce websites. You will be responsible for innovating and implementing new ideas in Shopify development and eager to contribute and perform well individually with little to no guidance.

This is a unique and dynamic role which will enable you to join one of the biggest retailing companies with global presence in the US, UK, Germany, and 3 DTC brands over Shopify

More specifically, within this role, you will:

• Create for bespoke development and use current Shopify templates
• Convert specifications and mock-ups into fully functional solutions
• Modify and update current websites to incorporate new features and enhance UI/UK design
• Manage the development of the Shopify Plus platforms, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps
• Contribute to the development of open-source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiences
• Conduct root cause analysis and determine/develop corresponding action items
• Implement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools
• Report to the IT Operations Manager and VP - Global IT

As you join the company, you will get access to company inductions, knowledge transfers, and project overviews. You will receive support from the team as needed, but you will be expected to hit the ground running quickly. Tasks will be assigned to you by your manager either through direct communications or Jira tickets raised by customers and other stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

• 2-5 Years of experience in Website Development
• General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system
• Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with an in-depth understanding of DOM
• Experience with working with a made theme and/or Storefront API
• Experience with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating
• Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary
• Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
• Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
• Experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specific plugins for Shopify
