Now, let’s dive into the exciting responsibilities you’ll have:

🚀 Projects: You'll contribute to the ongoing development of Simplero, working on new features, improving existing ones, refactoring code, tackling redesigns, addressing tech debt, and optimizing performance. It's all about the good stuff that fuels progress!

💻 Stack: You'll work with the latest tech, including Rails 7, React JS (with Relay) and some Svelte for frontend magic, and React Native for the mobile app (the team could use your expertise here!). The database lineup includes MariaDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL. And yes, they’re hosted on AWS – they like to keep things cutting-edge!

👥 Collaboration and Growth: As you join this supportive team, you'll collaborate closely with other talented engineers. They'll discover your strengths and find the perfect place for you to shine and grow.

During the initial three months, the candidate must ensure there is a four-hour overlap with the time frame between 10 AM and 6 PM US Eastern Time (ET). Afterwards, the required overlap will be reduced to two hours.

✅ You have expertise in:

• Rails 7
• React JS with Relay and some Svelte
• React Native
• MariaDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL for data management
• AWS hosting for deployment
• Monolithic architecture (no containers, microservices, or other modern approaches)

✅ You LOVE programming. Been doing it for a long time. Can’t help build projects in your spare time.

✅ You LOVE Ruby on Rails. Yeah, it’s not the most popular thing out there, but it fits your brain like a hand in a glove. Custom DSLs, ultra-flexible, great library. It just makes you happy.

✅ And Javascript. React, React Native, Svelte, Stimulus, and of course plain vanilla JS. So cool what you can do & how elegantly these days. You are also interested in OpenAI.
