Mushpeak’s team includes two Dutch owners who are available 16 hours a day to help and communicate with their team, customer support staff based in the Philippines, and partners (various third-party companies).

In this role, you will:
📐 Fine-tune typography, colour schemes, and spacing to ensure consistent visual appeal and readability across their sites.
🔍Conduct detailed design analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements.
✏️Create comprehensive wireframes, user flows, and mockups to guide the design process.
🛒Develop WooCommerce templates from scratch (child themes) to ensure they are visually appealing and responsive on various screen sizes.
📱 Design multi-screen size illustrations to ensure their site looks exceptional on all devices.
🧪Regularly test and enhance website design, keeping it visually appealing and up-to-date with the latest web design trends.
🤝 Collaborate closely with the design and content teams to maintain a consistent visual and written narrative across all platforms.
🌟 Proactively address design and technical issues, proposing improvements or alternatives to enhance visual appeal and usability.
Onboarding Process
Upon joining the team, you will undergo an onboarding process. This will include a 2-3 day training period with the company’s current Back-End developer and the company owners.
During this time, you will become familiar with their existing projects, workflows, and team dynamics. The team will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition into your role.
This is a full-time role, and the working schedule is flexible, with working hours between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM Dutch time. Given that website updates often occur on weekends, you and your team members are sometimes expected to be available during these times to address any urgent tasks or site improvements.

In order to thrive in this role, you need to have:
✅ 3-4 years of experience as a front-end Web Developer or in a similar role
✅ Experience with WordPress and WooCommerce & the ability to work independently as a WordPress/Woocommerce Develper
✅ Proficiency in web design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
✅ Substantial experience in PHP with the ability to make frontend components work
✅ Ability to lead the design process, offering professional suggestions and improvements.
✅ Strong understanding of responsive design principles and the ability to create designs that work well on all screen sizes.
✅ Knowledge of design tools.
✅ Independence is key; candidates should not heavily rely on working within a team or with a designer
The ideal candidate should have:
✅ Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a remote team and with designers and content creators.
✅ Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
