Affinda is a company that provides AI products & builds world-class solutions, currently helping over 500 companies embrace AI technologies. As a rapidly developing business, they release artificial intelligence products every month & and are looking to continually grow and redefine all the possibilities AI has to offer!

The team consists of more than 30 people, including developers, data scientists, product experts and AI engineers. Around half of the team is remote across Europe and the US, while the headquarters are in Melbourne. This is a remote-first business, offering flexible hours and locations while promoting independence and efficiency!

Right now, the company is looking for a Mid to Senior Level Back End Developer to drive the development of the back-end architecture & work on solutions to difficult algorithmic problems.

As the new member of the team, you will:

• Develop the API architecture to support the customer's integrations and the front end tools
• Investigate customer issues with the parsing products, and diagnose/fix errors with the models
• Expand testing framework

During the onboarding process, you will get familiar with the company’s systems, meet the entire team, and get started on some small tasks to help familiarise you with the processes and code bases. This is a small & friendly team, and on most projects, you will be working closely with at least one other person. There won’t be any formal training, but there will be plenty of support. :)

• Microsoft Teams

• 1+ years of experience developing the back end of web applications
• Understanding of RESTful API structures
• Understanding of Python Testing Frameworks
• Strong capabilities in Python

Brownie points for:

• Experience with Django
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as react
• Interest in AI / machine learning
• Experience with building deployment pipelines
