Junior Project Manager & Researcher Needed - Discount Lots [CLOSED]

Discount Lots sells vacant land online & we are changing the way real estate is transacted online. We went from 0 to 60 employees in 2 years and we expect to expand two to three times our current size in the next year.

We have circa 45 USA-based and 15 Philippines-based members. We are a young entrepreneurial company where we value each and every member. No idea is a bad idea, and we will listen and try most ideas a team member has.

To accommodate our growth, we are looking for someone to join our team to work on a variety of projects and ideas. Whether it’s conducting research online property portals, investigating new ways of working through to taking on special projects you’ll use all your skills and many more that you’ll learn with us to assist with various operations across our business.

You will play a key part in our team and have a direct impact on our bottom line through various projects.

As our Junior Project Manager / Special Projects Person, you will:

• Conduct research on various given topics and report results of that research
• Look at the real estate market & analyse trends
• Do market research and analysis, essentially being an online investigator on whichever topics we need
• Make phone calls to local real estate agents in the USA to understand what is going on with the market (we’ll provide training on this)
• Report to the company owners on ideas and opportunities for improvement.

Although we are looking for a self-starter & independent professional, basic onboarding will be organised for you. Alongside the onboarding process, your first few weeks will be focused mainly on market research and analysis.

Requirements

To excel as our Junior Project Manager, you need to be:

• A self-starter who needs little to no direction
• Interested in real-estate
• Analytically-minded
• Skilled with Excel and able to use Excel on a daily basis
• Willing to go the extra mile to do the job well
• Super-smart & able to conduct research and come back with results
• Willing to learn and able to do things independently
• Happy with making phone calls to the USA (we’ll provide the online phone system access)
• Great at problem-solving
• Hardworking & have an excellent work ethic
• Intuitive
• Detail-oriented
