We are looking for a Head of Recruitment specifically with these requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Head of Recruitment or similar role.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in high-volume (and high quality) recruiting.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing and scaling a team engaged in full-cycle recruiting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with internal teams, and external partners.
  • Experience with client relationships and external hiring.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing techniques and tools, ideally in remote-focused recruiting.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, including selection and implementation.
  • Proficiency in using software, systems and automation for efficient recruitment.

We hire for all kinds of roles from software developers to marketing specialists, and operations managers to executive assistants, and many more.

We are looking for a driven Head of Recruitment who is comfortable taking ownership of all aspects of our client recruitment - leading, developing and expanding our recruitment team to build a scalable capability that wows our clients and candidates.

Your big goal will be to drive us from our current level of 20 positions per month to 100+ positions filled each month.

No sales required! Our recruiters focus on doing what they do best - recruiting. They don’t need to find new clients or do sales calls. You won’t either.

The role of Head of Recruitment at JobRack

You will own and lead all aspects of recruitment for JobRack clients and candidates.

You'll lead, develop, and grow our recruitment systems and team to ensure we continue to focus on high quality results for our clients, while also significantly increasing the number of roles we fill each month (from 20 to 100+ per month).

You'll need to be able to demonstrate that you have relevant experience scaling a recruitment function to a similar level.

Here's some of the key responsibilities you’ll have as our Head of Recruitment:

👥 Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the recruitment team (currently seven team members), focusing on improving their skills across the full recruitment life cycle from requirements gathering to offer negotiation.
  • Identify training needs and deliver interactive training and role-play exercises to ensure our team wow our clients.

⚙️ Operational Excellence:

  • Implement and optimise systems and processes for really effective and efficient recruitment to support our growth.

📈 Data-Driven Recruitment:

  • Develop and manage recruitment dashboards and reports, using KPIs for informed decision making, team management, motivation and process enhancement.

📋 Innovative Candidate Assessment:

  • Evolve candidate evaluation methods including hiring assessments, interviews and testing strategies to identify top talent effectively including the use of technology and AI tools where appropriate.
  • Identify and implement ways to mitigate the use of AI by candidates to ensure we truly understand the motivations and skills of the candidates we shortlist.

  • Oversee and enhance all stages of the candidate journey, from initial application through to interviews and ongoing communication.

💪 Culture of Continuous Improvement:

  • Cultivate a team environment focused on learning and continuous improvement in recruitment practices.

🔍 Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Regularly assess market trends to identify and leverage effective recruiting channels and methods.
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming employment legislation and regulations, particularly concerning remote employment approaches.

⭐ Strategic Team Hiring:

  • Proactively forecast and plan our own hiring needs in alignment with our growth objectives.

Your experience:

  • Head of Recruitment or a similar role
  • Fast-paced and high-volume recruiting environment
  • Leadership: Team management and client-focused full-cycle recruitment
  • Understanding of remote recruitment and markets

Your skills:

  • Strong understanding of sourcing techniques and tools
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and candidate database systems selection, implementation and optimisation
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, clients, and the recruiting team
  • A really great leader with proven skills in developing and coaching your team

Our hiring process for this role

We’re looking for someone amazing. We’re going to invest a lot of time into this process, and we’ll expect you to want to do the same.

These are the stages you can expect in this hiring process (we may adjust as needed as we go through):

6 - Second / final interview and face to face meeting somewhere in Europe

We normally hire our team members as independent contractors, so the salary is a gross salary and you would be responsible for your own tax affairs. If you are in the UK then we would employ you ‘normally’ with salary paid via PAYE.
