Domain Magnate is a US-based PE firm. We buy and manage established online businesses, and operate a portfolio of our own content sites, and for clients, investors, and funds. We are a fully remote team, located mainly in Europe and Asia.

Role

As a WordPress Wizard, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of a couple of dozen WordPress sites, keeping everything up to date and operating smoothly, optimizing speed and performance, and solving any ongoing challenges, making edits, updates as needed.

You will be working directly with the Management team and the CEO to receive projects and instructions and will also have an opportunity to learn more about our business and the industry. We offer flexible hours and 100% remote work. We are looking for someone who can start work immediately.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Quickly and efficiently fix any issues with sites, such as getting hacked, WP plugin or theme compatibility issues, incorrect ad or tracking code displays, web hosting problems or other malfunctions.
  2. Conducting regular tech-audit of our WP sites and updating the sites, plugins as needed
  3. Assisting managers in any ongoing tasks with WP sites, like adding, optimizing codes, editing the theme, or other settings
  4. Optimizing WP sites for higher performance and better user experience
  5. Editing, updating, fixing custom coded WP plugins and themes
  6. Assisting with other technical challenges as needed
  7. Write and maintain brief documentation detailing the updates and fixes done on each website we manage

Requirements

  1. Must be an expert in WordPress optimization, plugins, and basic coding, troubleshooting, with at least 3 years of experience
  2. Experience in PHP, MySQL, basic server, and website transfer tasks
  3. Efficient and diligent 4. Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  4. Good written and verbal communication in English 6. Solid organizational and time management skills and can roll with changing priorities and tight deadlines
  5. Ability to work well in a remote team environment
