As a Full-stack Developer at SellerMetrics, you will play a pivotal role as the main technology steward for our software solutions, Landing Cube and SellerMetrics. Your responsibilities will encompass both front-end and back-end development of the software, collaborating with the founder to ideate and implement new product features.

Within this role, you will be:

  • Optimizing the usability of the software, focusing on speed, bug fixes, and reliability.
  • Improving back-end reliability through architectural redesign or optimizing backend queries using PostgreSQL.
  • Conducting market and competition research with the founder to identify new features and usability improvements.
  • Assisting with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and potentially implementing automated testing.
  • Proactively thinking and planning for potential usability issues as user count scales 3-5 times.
  • Improving the usability of the SellerMetrics software, addressing speed, bugs, data accuracy, and reliability.

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the possibility of longer hours depending on deadlines and occasional weekend monitoring for software performance. We require that you have at least a few hours of overlap with the US Eastern Standard Time (EST) between 9 AM and 5 PM.

In this role, you will work closely with the founder and report directly to them. While there will be a transition period, the current agency will provide documentation and support for at least 30 days to ensure a smooth handover.

During the first few weeks, you will gain a thorough understanding of the software's functionality and familiarize yourself with our target audience of Amazon sellers. You will have time to read the documentation and review the source code for both software solutions.

To succeed in this role as a Full-stack Developer at SellerMetrics, you should possess the following mandatory skills:

  • Experience with JavaScript and React (minimum 2 years)
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database designs (minimum 2 years)
  • Familiarity with AWS, WordPress, React, Redis, APIs, and either MySQL or Postgres

In addition to these technical skills, we are seeking a candidate who embodies the following characteristics and qualities:

  • Ability to come up with modular designs

  • Strong back-end SQL and data infrastructure experience
  • Experience with BI software
  • Experience working in the E-commerce industry
  • Amazon Seller experience
