We are a full-service financial support service, working mainly with e-commerce and service companies - delivering the full finance function, from accounting to fractional CFO services, and from management reporting and analysis to internal control.

Our team is fully remote and currently spread out over various countries in Europe, Asia, and South America, while our clients are mainly in the US, Europe, and Asia. We are a team of 14 and are growing rapidly.

You’ll be working mostly with our controllers and our data analyst.

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Business Analyst to join our team and assist our controller. This role involves analyzing financial data to help us provide better services to our clients in the eCommerce and digital agency sectors. You will be forecasting revenue and expenditures, advising on budgeting, and providing valuable financial insights to enhance business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support in the eCommerce and digital agency sectors.
2. Report on financial performance of our clients' businesses and prepare for regular reviews.
3. Work closely with the controller to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate key messages to senior management and clients.
4. Guide cost analysis processes for online business models by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
5. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts in eCommerce and digital agency industries, and recommend actions for optimization.
6. Recommend actions for clients by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials in their businesses.
7. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards for our online-focused clients.
8. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools that cater to online business models.

About you

The ideal candidate has:

1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Financial Business Analyst, or similar role in the eCommerce or digital agency space.
3. Strong interpersonal skills. You speak the language of our clients, but also that of our accountants and the controller.
4. Strong proficiency in traditional office products as Excel, Powerpoint but also in Quickbooks Online, Xero, PowerBI. Bonus points for proficiency in tools like Joiin, A2X and Fathom
5. Good understanding of financial reporting and data analysis in the context of eCommerce and digital agencies.
6. The right balance between structure & process on the one hand, and adaptability to fast changing client expectations & demands on the other hand
7. Bonus points for Financial Analyst certifications and/or work experience in Big 4 or similar level of professional skills.
