As the E-Commerce Operations Assistant, your purpose would be to provide support to the co-founders, dividing your time between essential operations tasks, creating and implementing new processes and offering frontline assistance to customers via their TNLC’s high commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

🧾 Execute operations tasks with a keen eye for accuracy, showcasing problem-solving skills by identifying errors in systems, devising new processes, and offering positive suggestions based on valuable frontline experience.

💼 Engage in effective communication with customers, comprehending and diagnosing issues. Utilise pre-typed 'canned' responses while also having the flexibility to go 'off-script' to provide personalised assistance.

📑 Play a vital role as a team contributor within a small team. Benefit from a unique insight into the entire business, allowing you to identify correlations between the 'back-office' and 'front of house’, bringing any noteworthy observations or ideas to the attention of the co-founders.

Working Hours ⏰: Full time. Your main point of contact, Barney, co-founder, and COO, operates on CET time (UK+1), some overlap with UK hours would therefore be desirable. Attendance at some mandatory meetings, particularly during the initial weeks of onboarding, is required. However, once up to speed, flexibility in your schedule is welcomed. Initial thoughts suggest that South Africa would be preferable, primarily due to English proficiency and time zone alignment, however other locations would be considered for the correct candidate with a high-level of English reading and writing proficiency.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

✅ Tech Savviness, quick adaptation to new technologies.

✅ Proficiency in Google Sheets and a comfort with basic mathematics.

✅ Willingness to perform an array of different operational tasks.

✅ Assist a small, agile business in establishing more efficient and documented systems.

✅ Maintain high standards, particularly in digital communication, where a-sync video, Slack, and email play a crucial role.

✅ Demonstrated ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.

✅ High level of English, especially reading and writing.
