Construction Project Coordinator [CLOSED]

Poladian Construction Inc. focuses on working with and for real estate investors.

The first aspect of the business is working with real estate investors and partnering up to do real estate deals, including buying distressed properties and renovating them to increase their value. The second aspect is helping real estate investors through renovations. Lastly, Poladian Construction Inc. has its own projects - from flipping houses to renovating apartment units.

The company is just a year old but has already accomplished over $300,000 worth of contracted work. Now, they’re looking to acquire more rental apartment buildings and bring on investors, with the future goal of focusing on the company’s own projects!

Right now, the company is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator to handle administrative tasks and day-to-day operations of the company.

As the new Construction Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Communicate with and schedule subcontractors
  • Find different subcontractors to add to Rolodex
  • Source and order materials
  • Send invoices
  • Organize receipts and prepare them for the bookkeeper
  • Manage Social Media
  • Work on off-market deal flow by getting names of people who own off-market apartment buildings
  • Reach out to wholesalers to find out more about deals
  • Do other related tasks as needed

You will have four to six weeks of training where you’ll learn more about the company and the team. Tasks will be assigned through a weekly to-do-list, with a meeting each Monday to assign tasks and another meeting on Friday to see how it all went. This is a full-time role with some flexibility when it comes to your schedule, but preferred working hours are 7 AM - 3 PM EST.

To be a successful candidate, you need:

  • University degree in Construction, Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management or Engineering
  • Experience working for a consulting firm, construction company, design firm, or as a general contractor
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of Social Media and basic editing skills (adding captions, creating reels, etc)
  • Excellent spoken & written English skills

Bonus points for familiarity with AutoCAD, experience in marketing, or any skills in social media editing.

The ideal candidate is someone passionate about construction and interior design, and who loves to see the transformation of renovations - someone excited to see the before and after of the renovated properties. At the same time, you need to have some background in social media and marketing, so that everything that the company does can be marketed properly.

You’ll need to be comfortable being on the phone with different subcontractors and distributors, at the same time spending a lot of time researching to find off-market deals. This is not a typical VA position, as you’ll do multiple things within the business, from construction management and social media posting, to reaching out to leads off-market to find properties. You’ll have a chance to learn a lot about construction and real estate, and advance your career as the company expands.
