As the company is entering a new phase of projects following the successful completion of a UI revamp, they’re looking for an in-house designer to be responsible for all design-related tasks for each of Gridlock's projects. They’re seeking a UI/UX Designer who has experience in UI/UX Design of mobile apps.

Within this role, you will:

• Review design feedback/briefs for new projects and collaborate with the team
• Use analytical tools to examine what works and what doesn't with Gridlock users
• Create the user experience and interface with the crypto user's needs in mind
• Conduct observational research by studying and analyzing interactions of sample users with the product
• Work closely with Growth, R&D Engineers, and our Development team to ensure seamless mobile/web design
• Implement UI/UX best practices and principles across all digital platforms

As the UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Growth, R&D Engineers, and Development teams to ensure seamless mobile and web design and implement UI/UX best practices and principles across all of Gridlock's digital platforms. This is a critical role that will report to the Head of Growth and Lead Developer, and play an instrumental part in driving the company's continued growth and expansion.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday. Gridlock's team members are based in various countries and time zones, but the company operates primarily in the UTC time zone, with many team members opting to work from 8 am to 4 pm UTC. The company offers flexible working hours as long as there is sufficient overlap for team meetings. During major releases, working overtime may be required.

To excel in this role, you need:

• Two or more years of UI/UX design experience (preference will be given to candidates with a strong portfolio who demonstrate experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments as a UI/UX Designer)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, etc.
• Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills
• Experience in Illustrations (landing page graphics, in-product 2d/3d icons, NFTs, etc.)
• Branding experience (logos, typography, colour, graphics)
• Design systems experience (component kits, guidelines, internal design resources)

Brownie points for:

• Degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or a related field
• Any experience in the Crypto industry
