We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our close-knit team of ~30 individuals, contributing to the advancement of our impactful initiatives.

About the role

Position Overview:  

As the Operations Manager, you will occupy a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functionality of our organisation. Your core responsibilities will encompass operations management, human resources, process enhancement, and risk oversight. Working in tandem with the leadership team, your expertise in project management will be vital to our continued growth and success.

Note: Only full-time applicants will be accepted as the role is not applicable for freelancers & third-party agents

Working hours: 9am - 5pm UK time [Weekdays only]

Key Responsibilities  

Operations Management  

  • Oversee daily operations to guarantee operational effectiveness and alignment with our overarching mission.
  • Ensure that GS tools are set up for us to maximise return on investment (ROI) and return on energy (ROE).
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient communication and teamwork.

Human Resources  

  • Lead the onboarding process for new team members, facilitating a smooth transition and integration.
  • Participate in recruitment, engaging in interviews and assessing potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape HR policies, cultivating a positive and inclusive work atmosphere.

Process Improvement  

  • Identify areas with potential for operational enhancement and devise strategies to streamline procedures.
  • Implement best practices to elevate productivity, efficiency, and the quality of outputs.
  • Introduce innovative solutions and technologies to optimise workflows.

Risk Management  

  • Recognise potential operational risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Support teams across GS to monitor and mitigate organisation level risks.
  • Monitor adherence to regulations, industry standards, and internal protocols.
  • Develop contingency measures to address unforeseen challenges.

Project Management  

  • Ensure a culture of programme and project management.
  • Leverage your robust project management acumen to strategise, execute, and monitor projects in the realm of operations, HR, and process refinement.
  • Ensure projects are executed punctually, within established parameters, and within budget confines.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to realise project objectives and deliverables.

Your experience

  • Proven track record in project management, process enhancement, and risk management.
  • HR and operations experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration across diverse teams and hierarchies.
  • Competence in utilising project management tools and software.
