Autism Parenting Magazine improves the quality of life for families affected by autism all around the world. They release a monthly magazine, run virtual summits and offer courses to help parents.

The company consists of a diverse team of all ages, backgrounds, faiths and locations, spread across the UK, USA, Philippines, South Africa and Eastern Europe. There are 12 full-time staff members and multiple freelancers, with everyone working completely remotely.

The company regularly organizes Zoom meetings and exciting team-building activities for team members who are dispersed worldwide. Even though they work remotely, they are closely connected and committed to creating a welcoming and fun work environment!

Autism Parenting Magazine is currently looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a Marketing Assistant, the new team member will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth implementation of marketing strategies and maintaining efficient operations. They will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ranging from administrative support to email handling and social media posting. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families and individuals impacted by autism!

In this role, you will: 📋

  • Provide administration and project support to the marketing team.
  • Handle email communications professionally and efficiently.
  • Implement the monthly marketing checklist to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Assist in sending out engaging newsletters to the subscribers.
  • Regularly post content on various social media platforms to enhance brand visibility.
  • Support the fulfilment process by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring timely delivery of orders for the company’s advertisers.

You will be provided with training in digital marketing and social media management, but the onboarding process will be tailored to your needs and will also include hands-on experience and guidance from experienced team members.

This is a full-time position and you’ll ideally work during UK/SA business hours. Some flexibility may be available for working later in the day or starting earlier, as long as core hours are agreed upon. We want to make sure you’ve read the job post carefully, so please use the word ‘empathy’ when submitting your cover letter.

Please be aware that you’ll be required to use the Hubstaff time tracker for accurate monitoring and recording of working hours.

Note that PayPal is the sole payment option available for this position.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a marketing assistant or in a similar role. Exceptional candidates with proven administrative skills in a fast-moving environment will also be considered.
  • Experience in sales support, including administrative tasks, email handling, and fulfilment.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in using design tools such as Canva
  • Tech-savviness and the ability to independently navigate new tools and software by utilizing manuals and conducting online research.
  • A "we" thinker mindset, with high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy while keeping the ego in check. The ideal candidate cares deeply about the company's mission and shows a commitment to making things happen.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines without compromising attention to detail or creativity.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and resourcefulness as key character traits.

Brownie points for:

  • Sales experience with warm leads - bonus points will be given to candidates comfortable with engaging potential clients on Zoom calls
  • Experience in software like Photoshop or experience in video editing
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and the ability to record and analyze data to identify successful marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in email automation
  • Knowledge of eCommerce strategies
  • Copywriting expertise
