About the Position:

We are seeking a talented, experienced Localization Solution Architect with experience designing, developing, and delivering technical solutions to Life Sciences, Healthcare and/or Legal clients. As a Solution Architect, you are the hands-on advisor, technical expert and problem solver. You will be leading various technical integrations and implementations, solving the most challenging problems in the content localization space, and designing sustainable solutions to support our customers’ growing localization needs.

The Solution Architect will participate in all phases of the business development and solution development life cycle to include discovery, opportunity assessment, strategy workshops, competitive technical solutioning, and technical solution development. This individual will also work on internal projects to assist with automating workflows and improving efficiencies.

We are looking for a professional with a track record of successfully designing and implementing enterprise grade technical solutions, communicating complex concepts and ideas in clear, easy to understand terms, and demonstrating creativity in solving unique problems for customers.

This position requires deep experience with a variety of translation projects, across multiple file formats, integrations using connectors/APIs, and localization tools such as CAT, TMS, website proxy solutions and macros/scripts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with sales to interface and consult with customers to analyze customer requirements
• Act with urgency and accuracy to provide customers with best in class support, and lead workshops and troubleshooting sessions with customer technical teams to resolve complex issues
• Conduct technical discovery calls and identify solutions to address client needs
• Interact with both technical and business users to gather requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive and scalable solutions
• Analyze project/RFP scope and suggest creative approaches to solutions
• Create financial models to substantiate the proposed solutions
• Contribute to or create RFPs and SOWs to sell the proposed solution
• Effectively and proactively manage process changes with business and technical stakeholders to drive implementations forward
• Increase efficiencies and improve overall quality and ease of execution, while seeking to reduce scope and production costs for the client
• Contribute to building competencies within technical services. The Solutions Architect is expected to provide support to both internal and external members of the team and provide the necessary guidance and training for continued production success
• Support our Project Managers with complex file prep and TM maintenance strategies
• Continuously articulate best practices
• Desktop support and other IT needs as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ year previous experience in localization
• Expert level skills in CAT tools such as MemoQ, Trados or other common CAT tools
• Familiarity with at least one coding language and able to read/write scripts
• 2+ years applied experience with modern web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS and JavaScript), and REST APIs
• Experience working in and supporting a cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure as a preference)
• Desire for continuous learning about new technologies, developing new tools, and contributing to process improvement
• Highly analytical when it comes to complex problems, not intimidated by technical challenges
• Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with the capability to advise/persuade technical and non technical stakeholders
• Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity, ambiguity or changing scope
• Ability to function in a dynamic, face paced environment
• Software development experience
• Ability to gain quick fluency on technologies used by clients in various industries
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
• Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Desire to drive process and efficiency improvements
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a culturally diverse environment
• Proven time management skills
• A home office setup conducive for working remotely, and ability to work effectively as a remote team member

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with machine translation tools (including training of engines)
• Experience with TMS, preferably XTRF
• Experience with SOAP and REST APIs
• Experience with website connectors and proxy solutions
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and SQL

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere, but you must be available to work 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. US CST hours. We are a BYOD company, so you must have a home office set up conducive to work and the necessary equipment. Some periodic travel may be required to client sites or for conferences or events (when travel is safe). This is a full-time position with holidays, paid time off and training/certification allowance.
