Barrel is a direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce agency that helps brands build websites and engage in digital marketing. They have helped brands launch new websites and grow their eCommerce businesses. Barrel believes more and more brands will go direct-to-consumer and will require their expertise and services to navigate designing and building better experiences for their customers.
Barrel consists of a fully distributed team with most team members based in the United States; however, they also collaborate with a network of contractors globally. They have 40 full-time employees at the moment. They are a learning organization that believes in continuous growth and development, investment in expanding their skill sets and being honest with each other by providing feedback. The Barrel team are highly collaborative and love delivering for their clients.
As Barrel is growing rapidly, they are looking for their next team member -- a Graphic Designer who will be in charge of creating all of their marketing designs. As their next Graphic Designer, you will play a key role at Barrel by helping them win new clients and attract new employees through your amazing design skills.
More specifically, within this role, you will:
- Come up with design ideas and do research
- Design & animate case studies
- Create graphics and videos for news posts
- Create hiring posts and case studies for Barrel’s social media accounts.
- Report to Christine, the Design Director at Barrel
In your first weeks at Barrel, the team will organise a training for you, so that you can learn more about Barrel and the inspiration they look to for this type of work, as well as how they define quality.
As their next Graphic Designer, you need to have:
- Strong design portfolio with a range of work
- Strong layout and typography skills
- Experience with website design
- Experience with motion design & animation
- Digital experience
- Experience with Figma, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
- A careful eye for detail & creative mindset
Brownie points for a university degree in Fine Arts, or similar.
What’s in it for you?
- $2000* per month
- Flexible working hours with a minimum of 2–4 hours overlap between 10 AM – 6 PM ET
- Part-time role
