We are a digital agency with 20 years of experience, and we are currently undergoing rapid growth in website design, development, and support projects.

Our small, cohesive, and fully remote team has 14 members located in Romania, Bulgaria, Columbia, Argentina, and the United States. Our clients are primarily U.S.-based. Thus, although work hours are flexible, you will need to be available for at least a four-hour overlap with Eastern Standard business hours.

This position will begin on a part-time basis, with the potential to ramp up hours if we are a good fit and our growth continues as we expect. The hourly rate will fall between USD $45-65 depending on the applicant's skills and experience. You will benefit from our well-documented processes, in particular project scoping and planning as we are thought leaders in this area.

Overview of the Role

A Development Project Manager is responsible for the execution of a development project from initial planning through completion. In its earliest phases, this includes collaboration with the stakeholders to create and refine a project brief and the subsequent development of the scope of work and information architecture, cost estimates and breakdowns, and timeline. Next, the Project Manager creates a full project plan that is broken into tasks and assigned to team members using an appropriate project management tool. The Development Project Manager is responsible for initiating and maintaining an execution rhythm with regular demos of work products, including wireframes, designs, and partially to fully functional software features, and incorporation of stakeholder feedback to ensure the project remains on track against its objectives. The person in this position is responsible for monitoring the use of resources against the project constraints and responding proactively to unexpected challenges.

The Development Project Manager is an expert communicator who maintains continual contact with the stakeholders and development team throughout the project lifecycle via the creation of clear, thorough documentation, structured use of project management tools, regular meetings, and electronic communications.

Duties

• Collaboration and communication with stakeholders
• Oversee designers, developers, content writers, and other team members
• Ensure team members have clear, prioritized objectives and remove barriers to productivity
• Schedule and lead meetings and demos
• Careful documentation of scope of work and information architecture, requirements, plans, timelines, decisions, action items, progress, and meeting notes
• Setup and supervision of the project in Jira and/or Asana
• Ensure adherence to the software development process
• Monitor project budget and billing

Qualifications

• Outstanding written and verbal communication in English
• Excellent collaboration, negotiation, organization, and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of software development approaches (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their strengths and weaknesses
• Experience implementing various Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Scrum)
• Proficient with Project Management Tools (Jira / Asana)
• Understanding of design and prototyping processes
• Understanding of version control and release management
• Familiar with QA approaches (i.e., writing test protocols, automated test suites)
• Familiar with applicable compliance issues (e.g., GDPR, EU Cookie Law)
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Webflow) is a plus
• Basic understanding of marketing instruments and technologies (SEO, analytics, email marketing, CRM systems) is a plus
