About the company

I’m an American entrepreneur from the state of Virginia.

These days, I’m nomadic and spend most months somewhere in Europe. 

I used to be a classroom English teacher in Prague. 

A few years ago, I put my method online.

Now, my students find me through an online ad, then attend a free class, then a paid course, then join a membership program. 

Several hundred are already members. 

Every week, we get thousands of new leads and over one hundred new customers for the course. 

That means, every day, we get lots of questions, requests, tech challenges (I have a tech expert you will work with) and payment issues. 

About the role

Your job will be to keep the good customers happy, buying more, and recommending us to their friends.  

This is a 100% remote, part-time job. 

You will be available to respond to help tickets during normal working hour, Monday through Friday, European time. Plus, we’ll have a weekly 30-minute call on Zoom.

About you

Responsible, dependable, consistent, no surprises, no recurring life drama. 

Good mood (usually, or can fake it). 

Like people, like to help people. 

English: very good. 

Writing: You can write empathically, clearly (short sentence, small words), in plain English (no jargon or tech babble), understand poorly-written English, address the underlying problem, be firm, make customers feel good.

Confident: if my solution isn’t good, you’ll tell me; If you have a better solution, you’ll tell me. If you can’t do something or don’t know how to do something, you’ll tell me. 

Adaptive: If you don’t know how to do something, you can figure out how to learn it. 

Detail Oriented: You follow instructions carefully. You can spot mistakes others overlook.  

Extrememly patient: My customers are non-native English speakers. Some are 70+ years old. And some are grumpy and impatient and are convinced we want to rob them! 

Experienced: You’ve done this before. 

Constructive: You notice the patterns in the complaints and suggest improvements. And because you’ve done this before, you can suggest improvements for processes, keeping customers happy, etc.
