REST Methods and the "Short Term Rental Riches" podcast are the marketing arms of our property management company, Midtown Stays. The podcast was originally created as an educational source to help friends, family, and fellow colleagues in the industry answer common questions. Each episode teaches individuals how to invest in great properties to build long term wealth. Our Podcast Short Term Rentals Riches is listened to by over 20,000 individuals every month and it is the driving source behind the leads we receive for our management company.

 

Midtown Stays owns and manages a portfolio of over 70 short-term rental properties in that are rented on a nightly basis. Since November of 2015 we have successfully accommodated over 25,000 guests with excellent reviews and are quickly expanding nationwide and across borders as we manage other owners’ properties 100% virtually just like our own. We recently began managing properties for other owners virtually - our experienced team can handle properties all over the world!

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Content Strategist/YouTube Manager to oversee our YouTube channel operations, enhance viewer engagement, and boost our online visibility through SEO and data-driven strategies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with YouTube SEO, a keen understanding of digital content strategies, and a passion for optimizing and growing online channels.

You will be working closely with our Marketing and content team, including a content manager with SEO background, video editor and others. We use the array of tools including AI to help us with marketing strategies, so an understanding of such tools is a benefit.

Our main goals are to increase sales and reach with some of our existing products including: A mastermind group, Property Management Clients, Affiliates, and online courses, via YouTube videos. We will monitor performance with a focus on:

1. Growing our email list
2. Growing our views and engagement
3. Growing our YouTube subscriptions

About you

Primary Responsibilities: As our Content Strategist/YouTube Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow and enhance our YouTube channel and online video presence. Specifically, you will:

1. Conduct keyword research to identify high-ranking words and phrases to drive the most views and subscriber engagement.
2. Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to improve search ranking, and regularly update older video metadata based on changing search trends.
3. Strategize and implement tactics to increase viewer retention, likes, comments, shares, and overall engagement, and facilitate an active community around the channel's content.
4. Coordinate with content creators and editors to ensure regular content upload and scheduling.
5. Ensure channel branding, including banner, logo, and video intros/outros, remains consistent and up to date.
6. Regularly monitor YouTube Analytics to gauge video performance and identify areas of improvement, and provide regular reports on channel growth, audience demographics, and engagement metrics.
7. Test and measure the effectiveness of different strategies and make recommendations based on results.
8. Provide feedback on video concepts and formats based on audience preferences and search trends.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in managing and growing YouTube channels, preferably with evidence of past successes.
2. Deep understanding of YouTube SEO and platform algorithms.
3. Proficiency with YouTube Analytics and other related tools.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
5. Familiarity with video editing software, graphic design, YouTube channel management and AI tools is a plus.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Excellent written and spoken English proficiency
