UX Designer needed for fast growing UK Startup [CLOSED]

Appy Ventures builds tech businesses with Entrepreneurs. We basically accelerate ideas and help launch successful businesses. This opportunity is for one of our partner companies (rota.com - B2B Saas platform for people-driven organisations wanting to manage their workforce in a smarter way). They have a good Product team in place with both UK based and a remote team.

Who are we looking for?

You are a pragmatic, innovative and self-motivated professional UX Designer. You have a natural optimism and believe that awesome technology can change the world.

What will you be doing?

You will work with the lead UX designer supporting Product, Technology, and the Business, to understand desired outcomes and requirements.

You will provide designs based on your research findings from across all areas of the business and

from our users.

These designs can be easily understood and implemented by our developers into our innovative and ground-breaking products

In collaboration with the UX lead and Product Managers you will work with key stakeholders and end users to contribute to design hypotheses and research that examines both user behaviour and attitudes.

• This will be done using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods, such as surveys
• From your research findings you will contribute to ensuring that there are actionable insights that fuel ideation and subsequent ideation sessions that you will help facilitate and collate outcomes for further review
• You will implement and help evolve a User Experience that promotes ‘best in class’ usability and accessibility across our product that delivers against our strategic goals
• You will have experience of working in customer-orientated user experience design projects, and the tools necessary to produce that work
• Upon completion and validation of lo-fi design build high-fidelity designs for development
• Help develop and build component libraries that can be utilised by the engineering team in order to aid in speedy development whilst ensuring consistency across all parts of the user experience.
• Participate in ongoing design reviews and iterations during the sprint.

Required Experience:

• You will have experience of working as a Product Designer/UX Designer for at least 1 year, with demonstrable experience in applied product research
• Strong design skills across iOS, Android and web platforms
• Experience working in agile/sprint-based environments
• Experience with workshop facilitation and design sprints.
• Experience of working closely with engineers to assist the translation of design to code. You have a deep understanding of how web and app technologies can be leveraged to achieve your design intent.
• You have great communication skills and have experience working with distributed teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of Lean UX, Lean startup, Design Thinking, and dual track agile

Benefits

Full-time role with 24 days holidays, good pay and potential for bonus based on business success. A laptop is negotiable and we are keen to have at least annual meet-ups (COVID dependant!). We’ll be looking to grow the team further so opportunity to bring in some of your friends/ contacts.
