The future for Leatherback Travel is huge. We are not just launching new brands; we are doing it with a purpose. We don't want to just take our customers to the best places… We want to build and create new experiences to share with the world. Our team works remotely and right now consists of around twenty people, who are all excited about their work. We are passionate about delivering world-class experiences and delivering the absolute best trips. We have the best marketing, and give people the best customer service.

Right now, we are looking for our next team member – a Social Media assistant who can drive new subscribers through stories and reels on Instagram and Tik Tok.

Reporting to our Marketing Managers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day social media activities for our brands.

Within this role, you will:

  • Create reels for Instagram and Tik Tok highlighting our trips, with the goal of driving new subscribers and potential leads.
  • Create Stories for Instagram/Facebook
  • Track metrics and deliver reports on progress, regularly looking for improvements
  • Create and schedule organic social posts.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss updates, share feedback, and brainstorm solutions to challenges.

You will also have time to learn and explore new possibilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early stage Digital Marketer with a particular focus on social media and content creation. We’re looking for someone who has a good handle on what connects with people, on writing human, REAL copy that people engage with. No corporate buzzword-drones, please!

We are a young company that is growing fast, and that has huge potential. The opportunities for professional growth are as good as it gets when it comes to joining a business like this, at its early stages!

Once you join our team, training will last for a month and it will consist of training sessions for 1-2 hours each day and self-guided SOP reviews. However, from very early on, you will also be contributing real work to the team and adding value, starting with simple tasks and growing in difficulty.

The company will also provide you with a monthly budget of $50 per month ($600 per year) to spend on online courses related to your role

In order to excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Strong B2C marketing experience with native English speakers
  • Genuine experience with Social Media marketing
  • Social media photo creation experience
  • Video creation and editing experience, specifically for social media
  • Experience with Canva for creating graphics
  • An excellent understanding of consumer psychology plus the process of gradually turning a cold click into an excited customer!

The ideal candidate for the role:

  • Ambitious and enthusiastic about being the best social media marketer they could possibly be, with a work experience history that reflects that
  • Genuinely interested in marketing and has favourite sources of information (experts, blogs, podcasts, books)
  • Reliable, autonomous and independent
  • Good and receiving and giving feedback
