Spread Great Ideas (SGI) is a digital marketing agency and curation site dedicated to promoting, you guessed it, great ideas! One of SGI’s brands is CallerSmart, an award-winning iPhone app and website that allows users to identify unknown phone numbers.
We’re at an exciting time where both of the websites are steadily growing and CallerSmart is in product development.
It’s because of this growth that we’re looking for a talented and motivated full-time assistant to help with SEO and QA tasks in order to accelerate us on the path we’re already on.
About the role
You will be working alongside our Operations and Marketing Manager, Katie. She will also be mentoring you.
Responsibilities include:
- SEO and Digital Marketing:
- Conduct keyword research and analysis using tools like Ahrefs and Google Search Console to identify opportunities for website optimization and increased organic traffic.
- Optimize on-site content, including meta tags, headings, and other on-page elements in order to improve search engine rankings and visibility.
- Monitor website analytics using tools like Google Analytics and provide recommendations for improving user engagement and conversion rates.
- Quality Assurance (QA):
- Perform routine QA tests on the CallerSmart website and app, as well as on the SGI site, to ensure functionality, usability, and adherence to design and development standards.
- Identify and document bugs, glitches, or other issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Conduct website testing across different devices and browsers to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Provide feedback on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) aspects to enhance the website's usability and performance.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide a monthly report on how both sites are performing by compiling data from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support the operations and marketing manager.
About you
What we’re looking for in the ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in SEO and digital marketing, preferably with a focus on SERP improvement.
- Understanding of SEO best practices including keyword research and website optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs in order to track website performance and analyze data.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using productivity tools such as Slack and ClickUp.
