About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced search engine specialist to join our law firm's marketing team as our Senior SEO Specialist. The Senior SEO Specialist will be responsible for increasing the organic traffic and leads for the website. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of how search engines operate, content strategy, and experience planning and executing marketing campaigns.

• Manages technical SEO performance (with support from Marketing Director)
• Oversees design & development for site
• Manages website health & structure
• Maintains brand style and consistency across site
• Manages content direction & topic strategy
• Conducts keyword research and competitor analysis
• Oversees content production schedule
• Delivers weekly reports to Marketing director for updates on performance
• Works with Director of Marketing to coordinate the attorney review board for website content
• Responsible for keeping Bluewater map up to date
• Responsible to keeping scholarship page up to date
• Goaled on website traffic and website conversion rate (organic search performance)

The Senior SEO Specialist will help us develop and implement content strategies through proper keyword research, planning, and assigning projects to our writer.

We have a growing site (around 1000 pages at this time) with a majority made up of blog posts that have been around for years. You will be conducting keyword research, analyzing where we may have cannibalization within our site, reviewing competitors and reverse engineering their strategies, and keeping the team up to date on any search engine updates. 

About you

We are looking for someone with extensive experience on SEO projects both large and small. The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing reports from tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush. This person should have great organizational and project management skills, since we always have interesting project ideas and new opportunities but need to prioritize effectively through our project management system (ClickUp).

This person should be excited to do analysis (keyword and competitor), but also be hands on to make changes to the website. While we do have a phenomenal writer on our team, she will need your direction which topics she should be updating or creating new pages for. We're looking for someone who can dig into data, organize, and come up with a good plan that our team can execute to be successful.

We have a small team, so we are constantly working together to discuss new ideas and potential changes. You must be comfortable working in a team environment and being a contributor to discussions.
