Position Title:Freelance Content Writer
Position Type:Ad-hoc / Freelance
Location:100% remote
Reports To:Directly to Founder / CEO
Commitment: 1 to 8 articles per month on an ad-hoc basis
Contract:
  • Begin with 1 trial article (paid)
  • If the trial is approved, we will sign an agreement and start working together.
Compensation:
  • $100 per short-form article (500 to 1,250 words)
  • $150 per long-form article (1,250 to 2,500 words)

We need someone who is enthusiastic, hard-working, and highly organized to create engaging, well-researched, and informative content for our clients.

This fully remote role is a great opportunity for someone to really develop and progress their content creation skills and take on more responsibility as we grow. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in writing engaging blog articles, creating SEO-optimized content, and other content types such as white papers, case studies, pillar articles, and guides.

About You:

We need someone who can write about pretty technical topics, so you will need to get up to speed quite quickly or use your excellent research skills. This may include interviewing subject-matter experts if asked to do so.

Articles must be well-formatted and follow internal content guidelines (I will have you read them before doing the paid trial).

Please note:

I really don’t enjoy editing articles and correcting simple mistakes, or worse, finding that articles have been plagiarized. So your attention to detail, quality of writing, and ability to cite all sources properly needs to be exceptional. If you're not at this level please don't apply this time around.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Must be a native English speaker.
  • Must have excellent research skills.
  • Must be able to interview subject-matter experts (if necessary).
  • Must be able to write 100% original content.
  • Must be able to properly cite ALL sources.
  • Must check their drafts for any plagiarism and either 1) remove it, or 2) cite the source.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience with freelance writing in at least ONE of the following niche industries (more would be better):
    • Software and SaaS
    • AI and Machine Learning
    • Industrial Technology
    • Marketing, Sales and SEO
    • Health and Nutrition
    • Fintech and Blockchain

About The Role:

Part-time content writing role with flexible hours and a chance to work on exciting projects, learn new skills, and earn good writing rates. This is suitable for a hard-worker who really wants to learn and grow, develop technical research skills, and master the art of content writing. Bear in mind, this is not for content spinners.

Role Overview
  • Write for Provectus Digital on an as needed basis. Some months there will be little or no work, and other months will have a lot of work.
  • Need to commit time for up to 8 articles per month. Actual monthly workload will vary as per client work.
  • Collaborate via email, Slack, and Trello. Testimonials, additional work, and pay raises will be provided for excellent work.

What You Will Do:

You will be expected to do in-depth research about technical topics in order to create valuable, informative, and 100% original content. You will be expected to review your own work, properly cite your sources, and proactively avoid any plagiarism.

These are a sample of some of the tasks you would be doing:
