We are FiveZero - a family of conservative news and special interest publication newsletter brands. We manage and promote several different newsletter-based review, trivia, and news websites. We have over 2M active subscribers across our network who receive daily emails with links to our curated articles and other related content. We work to maximize revenue across our properties while providing high quality content for our subscribers.

For the past eight years, we’ve built a fun, collaborative team consisting of 12 professionals. This role will be for an Email Operations Associate. Our next rockstar hire will join our ops team and be responsible for queuing/testing/scheduling of our daily newsletter sends. We reach over 2 million subscribers daily so this role will require attention to detail and ability to hit daily deadlines. Within this role, you will use your expertise to make sure campaigns are launched without errors and in a timely manner. Working in partnership with the head of content, you will manage all aspects of the campaign — from briefing to email creation to deployment and reporting — owning the end to the experience.

As the new Email Marketing Associate, you will:

• Set up flows and schedule campaigns
• Conduct segmentation, automation and tool integration
• Create email deployments to reengage subscribers
• Collaborate directly with our advertiser partners to queue up and test sponsored content
• Edit templates & do light coding
• Work with email deliverability team - perform segment changes and diagnose email deliverability health, including spam inboxing
• Coordinate content worksheet with news editor to ensure content is delivered on time and formatted

In order to excel in this role, you need to have:

• 3+ years of experience with digital marketing, especially in the domain of email and content marketing
• Experience implementing marketing systems and processes
• Experience with following email marketing tools - Earnware.com, Campaigner.com, Google Suite, API's
• Basic HTML coding skills
• Basic graphic design skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Results-driven attitude - you thrive on getting sh*t done and drive yourself to over-deliver.
• Systems and process-oriented approach to marketing
• Ability to learn new tech tools quickly
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to feedback to improve performance
• Excellent communication skills
• Strategic thinking skills with a good understanding of business systems & digital marketing
• Hands-on approach with an extremely high ability to figure things out
