Autism Parenting Magazine improves the quality of life for families affected by autism all around the world. They release a monthly magazine, run virtual summits and offer courses to help parents.

The company consists of a diverse team of all ages, backgrounds, faiths and locations, spread across the UK, USA, Philippines, South Africa and Eastern Europe. There are 12 full-time staff members and multiple freelancers, with everyone working completely remotely.

The company regularly organizes Zoom meetings and exciting team-building activities for team members who are dispersed worldwide. Even though they work remotely, they are closely connected and committed to creating a welcoming and fun work environment!

About the role

  • Overall responsibility for closing deals and the end to end process
  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our products and services
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and forecasting
  • Using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives
  • Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company's global reach
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs
  • Create email copy for B2B prospects and existing clients
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Cold outreach email campaigns in Lemlist or Apollo
  • Create follow-ups on all leads
  • Respond to advertising Enquiries in the advertising inbox
  • Prospecting in Apollo, Google alerts, Google search
  • Create contracts, invoices and follow up on outstanding payments in ASG
  • Reconcile payments received to Stripe, Paypal, Wise or HSBC
  • Work with designer and editor to ensure that the correct ads are featured in the correct magazine issue.
  • QA of ads in the magazine issue.

 

About you

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in further developing and growing our B2B advertising for the magazine, newsletters and sponsorships for our Summits.  

To thrive in this role, you will have deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, Account Management and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and a successful track record. 

The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in the magazine's fast-paced environment, embracing change with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Be confident in building relationships with senior level executives and potential advertisers from Blue Chip companies.
  • Two or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Flexible to host zoom meetings outside normal working hours.
  • Proficient in gmail, google docs, asana and slack
  • Proactive and ability to think outside the box and use initiative
  • Active listening. Active listening makes it possible for salespeople to better understand their target customers' needs and wants
