‘Huemor’ is a user experience design and full-stack web development agency. They are experts in conceptualizing, planning, and executing website projects. They help companies, big and small, discover what makes them unique and channel it into a memorable experience that outsells and outshines their competition online.

Over the past 10 years, they've won nearly 100 international awards for our work. Most notably, they were recognized by Webby's for the best homepage on the internet and recently named a top global service provider by Clutch.co

They are looking to expand their team by hiring an Eastern European WordPress/Drupal Developer to improve their capability to provide support for Drupal websites.

You will be responsible for maintaining multiple websites on both the Drupal and WordPress CMS and creating new modules to extend features of these websites, while collaborating with one of the most talented teams in the space to date.

As the new Full-Stack PHP Developer, you will:

  • Create custom, editable modules for use in page templates
  • Translate static designs into interactive front-end experiences
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, optimization, and scalability
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs
  • Translate technical requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS
  • Deliver maintainable and scalable code
  • Support existing client websites
  • Communicate with their Project Manager, Director of Development, Quality Assurance and UI/UX Designer

Training will be provided to you at the beginning of your onboarding process to ensure you settle in well within the company. You will receive 2 weeks of training and have 1-on-1 code reviews with the Director of Development.

Tools you’ll need to use to communicate and manage work:

  • Asana → all tasks & milestones will be assigned through Asana
  • Everhour → time tracking
  • Slack → chat communication
  • InVision App
  • Loom
  • G-Suite → emails, documents & spreadsheets
  • Git → version control
  • WordPress Engine and Pantheon → hosting

As a successful candidate, you need to have:

  • 3+ Years experience with Drupal theme development
  • 2+ years experience with WordPress theme development
  • Experience working FT remote for an international company
  • Excellent ability to convert design mockups into interactive digital experiences
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hand-coding semantic HTML, solid understanding of JavaScript and building maintainable/scalable CSS
  • Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Familiarity developing with CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS, etc.) and architecture patterns like BEM, SMACSS or other
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
