‘Huemor’ is a user experience design and full-stack web development agency. We are experts in conceptualizing, planning, and executing website projects. We help companies, big and small, discover what makes them unique and channel it into a memorable experience that outsells and outshines their competition online.

Over the past 10 years, we've won nearly 100 international awards for our work. Most notably, we were recognized by Webby's for the best homepage on the internet and recently named a top global service provider by Clutch.co

We are looking to expand our team by hiring an Eastern European WordPress Developer to assist our team with the development of custom WordPress themes. You'll have the opportunity to bring industry-leading designs to life for interesting clients while collaborating with one of the most talented teams in the space to date.

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, optimization, and scalability
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs
  • Translate technical requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS
  • Deliver maintainable and scalable code
  • Assist with the development of new client websites

Although we count on your experience & expertise, you will receive 1-2 weeks of hands-on training before starting with any client projects. During those first weeks, you will have the chance to read our documentation on our platform, requirements and best practices, perform initial test projects, and code reviews from our senior developer.

Tools we use to manage work in the team:

  • Asana → all tasks & milestones will be assigned through Asana
  • Everhour → time tracking
  • Slack → chat communication
  • InVision App
  • Loom
  • G-Suite → emails, documents & spreadsheets
  • Git → version control
  • WordPress Engine and Pantheon → hosting

As our successful candidate, you need to have:

  • Experience with WordPress with at least 2 years of full-stack development experience
  • Experience developing custom WordPress themes from scratch
  • Strong written and verbal English skills

Brownie points for:

  • Experience working in an agency

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Technically and personally awesome
  • Organized & detail-oriented
  • Creative & has a good sense of humour
  • Flexible & proactive
  • A motivated self-starter, always aiming to accomplish their goals

What’s in it for you?

  • $2,500-$4,000 per month*
  • Full-time (40 hours per week) Mon - Friday with fixed working hours from 8 AM - 12 PM EST
  • Annual salary increase of 3% year-over-year
  • 14 paid days off
  • Opportunity to advance to development lead or senior development role
