Newfangled is a digital marketing consultancy. They work primarily with small-to-medium-sized creative firms and digital shops, helping these companies market themselves and track the success of their marketing. To help them do this, they offer a collection of in-house WordPress plugins and a custom-built Laravel analytics/synthesis/AI application. They have more than doubled in size over the past year, with no signs of stopping. 

With 32 people distributed across the US and Eastern Europe, the Newfangled team has developed a strong culture as a remote organization!

Newfangled is currently looking for a Web Designer to help apply their core strategic recommendations to the structure, look and feel of their clients’ websites. 

As the new Web Designer, you will:

• Create full website designs in Figma, ensuring consistency and high attention to detail
• Maintain core strategic recommendations in the design of clients’ websites
• Work with the Web Developer who will implement their designs
• Work with the CTO who will oversee the development and technical integration of the clients' websites
• Work with the Account Coordinator, who will be communicating deliverables, timing, etc. to the clients
• Report to the Chief Design Officer

During the first few weeks, you’ll be trained by the Chief Design Officer who will provide daily guidance. This is a full-time role, and you’ll be required to work at least 3-4 hours overlapping with US EST within the 9 AM - 5 PM window.

To excel in this role, you need to have: 

• Experience designing B2B websites (3+ years)
• Experience using Figma (ideally 3+ years)
• Experience with web/interaction design (3+ years)
• Good spoken and written English skills
• High attention to detail & thoroughness
• Ability to be effective and thorough in the later stages of the design process as well as in the early stages of conception and developing ideas
• Ability to retain all aspects of the company’s strategic recommendations and integrate them into their work
• Ability to collaborate with the development team 
• Experience with project management software e.g. Asana

Brownie points for experience with website art direction/stock photography selection!
