Mario Griffiths is a real estate investor and a community leader with experience in financial services. He runs his company Mario Griffiths Investments, which specialises in single-family home conversions across southern Ontario. With his attention to detail, relationship management and effective communication skills he can help clients scale their portfolios.

Along with being a full-time real estate investor Mario has more than a decade of experience working for a prominent global financial institution leading customer strategy initiatives and campaigns.

His colleague, Ron Christopher has his own company on a mission to help people grow wealth through real estate without sacrificing family time. They focus on short-term rentals and multi-family conversion & acquisitions in Southern Ontario. Within just under 2 years, they were able to acquire 2 multi-unit properties, and complete extensive renovations on 3 units to create strong rental income.

At the moment, Mario and Ron are looking for a Virtual Assistant to join both of their companies; your time will be shared between the two CEOs. The key focus of your role will be the business acquisition, market research and administrative tasks. You will play an integral role in the company as you will drive business acquisition and help raise investment capital for upcoming projects.

More specifically, in this role you will:

  • Generate leads via cold calling and post ads online
  • Provide support with raising investor capital through cold and warm reach out on Instagram and Facebook
  • Manage Social Media accounts and create posts & content for Facebook and Instagram
  • Correspond with homeowners in Ontario and other real estate professionals
  • Conduct market research (e.g. draft a weekly newsletter) and generate leads to raise investment capital
  • Manage administrative tasks periodically (e.g. provide support with bookkeeping, direct mailing campaigns and special projects)
  • Interact with homeowners and real estate professionals
  • Provide support to the guests of the short-term rentals before, during and after checkouts, as well as support the maintenance staff
  • Report to Mario Griffiths and Ron Christopher

This is a perfect role for someone looking for an opportunity to get into the real estate investment industry whilst working flexible hours with a great team. Once you join the company, optional training and resources will be available to support you with key accountabilities. In the first few weeks, you will have an opportunity to review core processes, learn about the business and align on key accountabilities & the business scorecard.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • University degree, preferably in a related field
  • Foundational knowledge related to investing and real estate
  • Experience with GSuite and Microsoft Office suite and open to learning to use new applications (i.e. Monday.com, Kijiji, Notion, etc.)
  • Experience managing social media accounts and creating content for social media
  • Experience using Canva and other content creation software
  • Client service / Customer Support experience
  • Motivation and drive to succeed in this role
  • Professional and collaborative attitude
  • Openness to receiving feedback on an ongoing basis

Brownie points for prior experience with cold calling, real estate background, bookkeeping experience and administrative experience.

What’s in it for you?

  • Fully remote & full-time employment shared between the two bosses (Mario & Ron)
  • Flexible working hours; however, some overlap is required with Ontario business hours (GMT-4) to meet with the two bosses
