About the role

We're looking for a video editor who can manage everything apart from recording the videos.

You’ll be doing:

  • Turning written content (example) into video scripts with the help of ChatGPT.
  • Crafting "talking head" and screencast footage into compelling long and short form videos.
  • Finding and adding b-roll, motion graphics, music and sound effects for each video.
  • Creating video titles and thumbnails.
  • Publishing videos to various platforms (YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Analyzing video performance and recommending improvements.
  • Reporting to Niall Doherty.

Technology Used:

  • Google Docs
  • ChatGPT
  • ClickUp (for project management)
  • Your preferred image and video editing software
  • Zoom (for meetings)

About you

You’ll know you’re the right person for this role if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a video editor (long and short form), with a portfolio to prove it.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An obsession with getting the details right
  • A willingness to ask questions and incorporate feedback
  • A bias for being proactive and keeping things moving
  • An ability to operate independently and reliably accomplish tasks
  • Reliable internet, reliable laptop/desktop computer and video editing software
  • A desire to manage people (eventually you may oversee other editors/VAs)
  • Bonus: Experience with Google Docs, ClickUp and ChatGPT.

  • Pay negotiable, depending on skills/experience. The range is USD$10-20 per hour *
  • Up to 30 work hours per week (though more like 10 hours per week starting off)
