UI/UX Designer [CLOSED]

As a key member of the product engineering team, this UI/UX Designer will make a significant contribution to the implementation of the company’s products and bringing high-quality solutions to market. This position focuses on the web UI front end for the RKVST supply chain evidence management platform. The individual will share our passion for both UX design and UI development.

Location: remote or hybrid
If applying and are interested in working in a hybrid environment, our office is in Cambridge, UK. We are currently unable to provide sponsorship so you will need a valid work permit if not a UK citizen. Remote applications are welcomed from locations within +/- 3 hours of UTC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain digital assets such as interface design files and mock-ups using Adobe XD or Sketch
  • Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces
  • Provide critical analysis of user experience designs based on heuristics and other accepted design principles
  • Review designs against business requirements
  • Evaluate new and emerging methods and technologies in UX prototyping and identify the best of breed to incorporate into your team’s toolkit.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to direct all elements of design, including typography, imagery, iconography, etc.
  • Drive convergence of the complete user experience from first touch to a regular user: harmonize language and graphics on the website and documentation with the product UI.

Skills

The UI/UX Designer will possess many but not all essential skills, and a desire to learn from others:

  • Design and maintenance of consistent and intuitive user experience
  • Proficiency in using a design tool such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma to design interfaces and interactive functional prototypes.
  • Can design for efficient implementation and high-performance UIs
  • Can innovate and develop out-of-the-box solutions to complex user interaction problems.
  • Can work with other business stakeholders to develop personas, user stories, and other design-related documents

Nice to have

  • Mentoring and design leadership experience with designers/FE developers.

Required experience

  • In design and development of web UIs in SaaS products
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, user-centric interfaces in an Agile development process
