Technical Marketing role wanted for marketing agency that does paid traffic funnels - p/t
Salary Type: Hourly
Facebook ads Google Adwords Website design Wordpress
Have you always considered yourself a problem-solver?
Do you hate micromanagement?
Are you one to ask for forgiveness rather than permission?
If those qualities resonate, keep reading.
This is a critical thinking role with a high percentage of a doing element. That means you’ll have autonomy over your schedule and decisions regardless of how right or wrong they are - you’ll own them.
Are you cautious? Do you wait for instruction before taking action to be safe?
Stop reading. This is a fast-paced operation and we go by “better done than perfect” and “done” I mean a “ready, fire, aim” approach.
There will be mistakes, from both of our sides. If you’re not afraid to fail, learn from it, and take steps to avoid it in the future, then we’re on the same page.
Have I scared you off? No? Great!
????The day-to-day responsibilities????
I need a general technical savvy person to join me in building this marketing agency. You’ll be effectively replacing me in getting the actual work done.
What that means is your day-to-day will be consisting of everything technical related to paid marketing campaigns.
Facebook ads, AdWords, creating landing pages, and integrations will be the heart of it.
There is a HUGE focus on the tools we use. I used to be a bicycle mechanic, and while I know there are many ways to fix problems, I’ve established a system with a specific set of tools to get the desired results.
Once you’ve gotten a grasp of the systems, you’ll have autonomy to improve/change/develop new systems - effectively architecting them.
Back to the tasks. Even though they are mostly technical, they are also largely creative. There are some ways to shortcut/jumpstart a creative project by using templates if creativity isn’t your strong suit.
And lastly, arguably the most mundane task is one of the most important ones -- documenting processes to make standard operating procedures (SOPs). So if either one of us gets hit by the proverbial bus tomorrow, our replacement can pick up where we left off.
Fingers crossed to a long and prosperous life though!
????Details and requirements????
I’m based in Indonesia (GTM +8) and most of my clients are US based. This role isn’t client-facing so the primary focus is to be available some time between 11am - 11pm GTM +8.
You’ll have say over when you want to work, but I’d like to have a regular time that you’d be expected to be available.
This role will start with about 10-15 hours of work per week. Eventually this role will have more opportunity to do more work once we have worked together a bit and established a good fit.
Pay is $5-$10 USD per hour based on qualifications and personality fit.
????Communication, workflow, and project management expectations????
This role requires you to be comfortable on video -- not for the client but for the team. Scheduled calls will be minimized as much as possible, starting with 1 video call at the start of the week.
Afterwards, we would use Loom to demonstrate whatever concept we need to relay to each other.
Our central hub for task management will be Asana. Slack for communication. Email communication will be as limited as possible.
Absolutely no work talk on personal platforms like WhatsApp or Messenger!
We’ll be in regular contact and I’ll be your primary person of contact so it’s imperative we not only establish a good working fit but that we both like each other.
So a bit about me…
I’ve been in web design since I was a kid and built computers as a hobby growing up. As a teenager, I got into outdoor action sports like mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, etc.
While I still love doing outdoor adventures, I’ve come to SEA to surround myself with like-minded people. Now I’m a full-time marketer with a focus on paid ad funnels after I gained clarity in my life from a 10-day silent retreat (vipassana).
Even though I’ve helped many types of businesses, the emphasis of this business is to help local service-based businesses.
