Homegrounds.co - a home barista community, is looking for a socila media growth manager.
Homegrounds.co teaches coffee enthusiasts (let’s call them ‘home baristas’) how to brew and enjoy good amazing coffee at home. Our community loves to source, grind, brew and enjoy high-quality coffee..all from the comfort of their own homes. For them, it’s not about saving money, nor is it simply about getting a caffeine fix. It’s about the process and ritual of brewing coffee. It's a passion and an identity.
We have one simple goal: To help home barista's master the art of brewing perfect coffee at home.
We have strong values, which tie in with our marketing ‘angle’:
We support:
We'd prefer not to support:
We're currently one of the biggest informational websites geared towards the home barista, and our product is our content. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors by publishing and maintaining high standards in our content creation process...
...but we've let our audience on social media down. Maybe this is where you step in?!
We are looking for a savvy social media manager or marketer, with a passion for coffee, to work closely with our editorial and design team to grow our social media presence. The overall outcome/goal will be to drive relevant traffic from Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram to our website, to help build our community.
This role will allow you to develop your skills as a social media marketer in a unique way.
We'll provide you with time and a learning budget so you can grow your skills while getting to work on an established and growing content website.
Homegrounds.co is an established website with an amazing editorial team. We have the resources to publish amazing content, fast, so your job of promoting it on social media will be much easier.
You'll be given full responsibility and a testing budget each month to try new things, and ultimately develop yourself as a proven social media marketer.
This role will also allow you to earn money by working in an industry you're passionate about. It will put your name on the map, and could be the ideal springboard for the next steps in your career in the social media marketing industry.
You'll have the support from the editorial and design team, but will also be allowed a level of freedom to experiment.
Design skills - You should be comfortable working with either Canva or Photoshop to create Pinterest graphics. You don't have to be the worlds best designer, but its important that you understand good clean design fundamentals, and the importance of branding.
Social Media management experience
A true, coffee enthusiast - This label is subjective and therefore difficult to conceptualise, so it's up for debate. At the very least, you should have experience brewing coffee (not just french press or instant coffee). You don't have to be a coffee expert, or a barista, but you should understand the basics of brewing great coffee.
An independent team player: There's an I in team. But there's also a 'team' in team. You have to be able to both work independently and in conjunction with the team. Nobody will be holding your hand or doing your work; but there will be someone to help when you really need it.
Work remotely and choose your own hours (#digitalnomad)
20-40 hrs/week ongoing (salary based on experience)
KPI milestone bonuses after 12 months employment.
We have a strong focus on team learning and development. Ongoing courses and training related to this role is covered.
