‘Huemor’ is a user experience design and full-stack web development agency. They are experts in conceptualizing, planning, and executing website projects. They help companies, big and small, discover what makes them unique and channel it into a memorable experience that outsells and outshines their competition online.

Over the past 10 years, they have won nearly 100 international awards for our work. Most notably, they were recognized by Webby's for the best homepage on the internet and recently named a top global service provider by Clutch.co

Huemor is looking to expand its team by hiring an Eastern European Shopify Developer to assist their team with the development of custom Shopify themes & bring their award-winning designs to life.

As a Shopify Developer at Huemor, you will:

  • Develop custom Shopify themes & create well-formatted and scalable code
  • Focus on the front-end development
  • Translate static visual designs into themes
  • Ensure that the code is well-documented
  • Interact with the project manager, the visual designer, the QA specialist and other developers

A two-week-long onboarding program will be organised for you once you join Huemor & you will have an opportunity to learn their systems, process, and standards for Shopify development. In addition to the training modules, you will also have 1-on-1 code review sessions with the Director of Development.

Tools used to manage the workload and communicate with the team include:

  • Slack → communication with the team
  • Asana → task management & organisation
  • Everhour → time tracking
  • G-Suite apps → email, documents, spreadsheets
  • GIT → version control

To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • 2+ Years Shopify theme experience
  • Shopify Theme Development Certification
  • Excellent ability to convert design mockups into interactive digital experiences
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hand-coding semantic HTML, solid understanding of JavaScript and building maintainable/scalable CSS
  • Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Familiarity developing with CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS, etc.) and architecture patterns like BEM, SMACSS or other
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

What’s in it for you?

  • $2.500 - $4.000* per month
  • Full-time position (8 hours per day, 5 days per week)
  • Flexible schedule (with some overlap between 1-6 pm GMT (9-2 pm ET))
  • 3% annual increases year-over-year
  • 14 days paid time off
  • Opportunity to progress to a more senior role
