SEO Specialist [CLOSED]

We are seeking an SEO Specialist to help design and implement the SEO strategy for our portfolio of review sites.

This position has flexible hours and lets you work from anywhere. You'll be working in a startup company of 30+ people, with many opportunities for promotion, bonuses, and advancement.

Here’s what you’ll be doing and the skills and experience that we’re looking for:

Specific Role Experience and Competency [Importance 70%]

Content Strategy & Research [Importance 35%]

What you’ll be doing

• Identifying keywords and formulating a content strategy
• Tracking conversion rates and optimizing sales funnels
• Identifying new revenue sources and formulating strategies for entering markets
• Conduct keyword research and competitive gap analysis to inform strategic content plays, including new content, content optimization, new content formats and innovative experiments that quickly grow traffic on relevant, high-value topics
• Drive results to win in organic.
• Lead the charge on keyword and traffic conquest by ensuring all content is best positioned to win on SERPs through on-page and off-page strategies.

What you’ll need

Mandatory

• Ability to manage a team
• Demonstrated experience with Excel and Google Sheets
• Comfortable with large data sets and data analysis
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles such as conversion funnels, attribution, and audience segmentation
• Able to provide valuable feedback to editors, writers, etc
• Strong analytic ability, and ability to explain strategies to team members who will implement them

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Analytics, Marketing, Business or related field
• Ability to build thorough reports and presentations
• Writing and Editing background
• Ability to manage and keep record of site performance along with project status reports
• Experience with Clickup, Slack, Google Drive, ahrefs, surferSEO, and the willingness to learn new tools
• Available 35+ hours a week.

SEO Strategy [Importance 35%]

What you’ll be doing

• Analyze key SEO datasets to identify new opportunities for organic growth and optimization
• On page SEO strategy and overseeing implementation

What you’ll need

Mandatory

• Experience with SEO tools like Moz, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google AnalyticsAds/, etc.
• 1-3 years of experience in SEO technical optimization and workflows
• Desire to continue expanding your SEO knowledge
• Strong analytic ability, and ability to explain strategies to team members who will implement them
