Senior Web Developer (Wordpress/Shopify) [CLOSED]

Business Intention

As our Senior Web Developer you will work with our SEO Manager to drive websites to rank at the very top of the search engine results pages.

This means you will look after all technical aspects of websites using a range of technologies, although mostly Wordpress and Shopify. You will design and develop sites, redesign pages, implement new themes and fix problems so they rank well on search engines and turn visitors into customers.

The purpose of the websites we look after is lead generation. We expect every website to produce a great Return on Investment (ROI) for our clients.

In addition to the main objective of helping our clients to get more sales leads, you will also be responsible for:

• Maintaining a positive impact for their brand.
• Improving conversion rates of traffic by recommending and implementing changes to their website.
• Building high-converting landing pages.

Along the way, we need to make sure that our Agency's rules and principles are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Develop And Maintain Lead Generating Websites

1. Become the company expert in technical SEO and website development.
2. Provide creative technical/code solutions to problems affecting our clients SEO.
3. Implement technical SEO changes identified by SEO audits.
4. Design and develop new websites.
5. Manage website maintenance and security.
6. Switch themes in WordPress and Shopify without negatively impacting SEO.
7. Work with the SEO Manager to ensure every site follows SEO best practices.
8. Use Unbounce or similar tools to create landing pages.
9. Develop processes that align with our core service offering.

Essential Experience

For this role, we need someone confident with real-world experience building, developing, maintaining, and optimising websites.

• Experience with Apache, WordPress and Shopify.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MYSQL.
• Browser testing experience.
• Has optimised websites to improve SEO and lead generation performance.

Useful Experience

• An understanding of on-page SEO
• Graphic design using Canva or PC/Mac based tools like Affinity Designer or Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop etc
• Server management

• $2000 - $2750* per month
