Senior Software Engineer (Shopify/WordPress) - Vaulted Oak [CLOSED]

We have grown our business organically & have doubled in size based on this model of trust and support we have garnered.

We’re able to handle a wide variety of tasks to support & maintain our client's website. The following are the most common types of work we perform for our clients:

• Troubleshooting website issues
• System & app upgrades
• Browser compatibility fixes
• New web pages or templates
• New website features
• 3rd party software integrations

Vaulted Oak is a small remote team of less than 10 full-time members based all over the world. Our culture is about the people, not about the company. We are growing our team & are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to fill a leadership role and build and lead a remote team. In this role, you will have a huge impact on the company & allow us to scale our business.

As our new Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Review code
• Architect software
• Learn new technologies
• Write code
• Work and collaborate with all team members currently on the team
• Have weekly team meetings to report to project teams
• Provide leadership guidance for the engineering team

In your first weeks, you will familiarize yourself with the current tech stacks, take part in team meetings and client meetings, and review our current operating procedures. We will assign tasks via Slack or Zoom and document them in JIRA.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

• Experience with Shopify, WordPress, SCSS, API, SQL, VueJS
• Excellent communication skills & good knowledge of English

Brownie points for experience with Laravel, React, NextJS, Webpack, Docker

What’s in it for you?

• $42 to $50 per hour*
• Full-time role
• Working hours ideally between 4-12 pm EST but with quite a bit of flexibility (e.g., 4-8 am 12-4 pm ET)
