We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team and lead this charge!

About the role

This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to do everything and anything related to promoting our trips online. 

Tasks Include:

• Creating content (both self-generated and also content captured by other creators)
• Writing copy – blog posts, itineraries, email marketing etc…
• Creating graphics, banners, gifs etc…
• Creating organic social media posts / stories / reels
• Running paid social media ads
• Updating website content
• Executing email marketing campaigns
• Creating & managing the digital marketing plan

Tools:

Knowledge of any of the following tools would be advantageous

• Reel creation tools such as CapCut
• Canva
• Social media scheduling software such as buffer
• Wordpress / DIVI websites
• MailChimp or similar email marketing
• Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
• Facebook Ads platform
• Google Ads platform
• SEO and Google Business

About you

You should be able to clearly demonstrate the following:-

• 5+ years experience in a similar role performing the tasks highlighted above. In particular we hold the following two skills in very high regard – 1) the ability to write clear, concise & persuasive copy and 2) the ability to create stand-out graphics.
• Thought leadership for our overall marketing strategy (lead us on what ‘great’ looks like / help us significantly expand our customer base)
• A clear understanding of what it takes to sell a high-ticket item ($5000+) and knowledge of all the steps from initial customer awareness to booking a tour
• A strong affinity with our customer demographic – solo travellers in their 30s and 40s
• Any experience in travel and specifically in tours would be a big plus

The role initially requires you to do the hand-on marketing work yourself, but as we grow the expectation is that you will take the lead in building out our marketing team which will likely be a combination of more junior members, freelancers and agencies.
