The company has had tremendous success over the 19 years that they have been in business -- they have retained customers who have worked with them from the beginning & grew the market share, average rates and exposure for all of their clients amongst the luxury travel trade sector of North American travel advisors.

The company has a small team of wonderful ladies located all over the US, UK, Ireland and Serbia; Rebecca Recommends has always been a remote-first company. Through meaningful relationships with their clients and the travel advisor community, this team of hardworking, kind and passionate ladies manages to exceed their clients' expectations every day.

Rebecca Recommends is growing its team by onboarding a new Sales & Operations Assistant to support the sales and marketing team.

More specifically, within this role, you will:

  • Assist in managing the RR database within Zoho (CRM), adding opportunities, bookings and information on the 10,000+ travel advisors within Zoho that RR works with
  • Plan sales trips – you will be responsible for planning the trips, following up on all sales calls and inputting travel advisors’ sales information into the CRM as a result of sales calls and sales activities
  • Respond to travel advisor inquiries, bookings, and VIP requests, researching, and planning itineraries for travel advisors using Rebecca Recommends properties and services.
  • Assist in the managing and planning of RR Educational trips for RR clients
  • Work with other members of the RR team in identifying suitable travel advisors and agencies to be invited on Rebecca Recommends EDU trips, organizing the details with RR clients.
  • Assist with sales trip budgets and FAM trip budgets while exercising effective cost control.
  • Collate monthly sales call expenses and receipts for reimbursement when needed
  • Participate in the RR weekly team meeting (Mondays 11:00 am EST & attendance is mandatory) and ad hoc meetings with Rebecca Slater and/or RR team members
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to other members of the RR team.

Although the Rebecca Recommends team count on your skills and excellent organisational aptitudes, an onboarding process will be organised for you, so that you can learn more about their CRM Zoho, SOPs and other information about their clients.

As the ideal candidate for this position, you need to have:

  • Outstanding efficiency and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach to work
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • A good understanding of working with Customer Relationship Management Technology
  • Ability to prioritise duties and have excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to develop strong product knowledge and a passion for all things related to our destinations of expertise its culture, regional gastronomy, artistic heritage and historical sights
  • A team-oriented attitude and the ability to use initiative and take ownership for completing tasks whilst coping with a fast-paced office and remote salespeople.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels – you naturally earn others’ attention and respect. In addition, excellent spoken and written English is essential
  • Strong IT skills including good knowledge of all MS Office programs.
  • Willing to work during US Eastern Standard Time hours
  • Ability to show initiative and be inquiring in nature
  • Warm and welcoming attitude – you are personable and attentive
  • Strong relationship building, rapport building and intrapersonal skills
  • An understanding of and willingness to work towards assigned goals

What’s in it for you?

  • $10 - $12* per hour
  • Full-time role ~ 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Working hours ideally until 2 PM EST (later on some days if possible) with a mandatory weekly meeting attendance (11 AM EST on Monday)

  • After a 90 day trial period, full-time staff have 15 paid days off (with additional US holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day) to use as you like, with prior approval.
