About Japanese Green Tea Co.
At Japanese Green Tea Co., we acquire, scale, and operate direct-to-consumer eCommerce and wholesale Japanese products such as Japanese Tea and Japanese Coffee, and Japanese Knives. I run the company with the help of a small but amazing team. We are doing our best to build the type of company we all wish we could have worked for at the start of our careers and become the best versions of ourselves. We have no outside investors and have been profitable every year.
Inbound customer service
Communicate with the customer via email or phone to understand the customer’s need in English and communicate with the vendor in English via email (most of the time) to get the quote and arrange shipment. Be the point of the point-of-the-contact with the customer.
Outbound customer service
Research potential customers online (ie: Cafes, Asian Grocery) and contact them via email. We often use video recording to give personalized messages.
You will report directly to the company owner, Kei, and work closely with the marketing team.
Initially, you'll have daily meetings with Kei to discuss your progress and make sure you have all the support you need.
At first, you'll focus on list building and outreach, with Kei there to run those qualifying conversations. But as you gain more experience, you'll start taking over those conversations and eventually become a pro at qualifying leads, leading proposals, and negotiating. We're confident that within 3-6 months, you'll be ready to take on the world!
Japanese Green Tea Co. believes in creating a positive and supportive work environment where collaboration, humility, and kindness are highly valued. It's not a competitive environment, and they’re not looking for someone who embodies the “work hard, play hard” mentality. The candidate should find fulfillment in assisting others and possess a natural curiosity for learning. If this sounds like you read, on!
To excel in this role, you need to have:
This is a part-time role with 20 hours per week initially, and you can have some flexibility when it comes to creating your schedule, as long as your core hours are from 11am to 8pm CET to align with the rest of the team. Live meetings with Kei will be generally held between 3 PM CET - 6 pm CET. While the company prefers you work during local hours, there may be occasions where you need to attend meetings with prospects in the evenings, which should happen only 2-3 times per month.
