Looking to make a meaningful impact through sales? Duke & Duck is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales/Account Representative to join their team!
Within this role, you will play a crucial role in bringing in new “best fit” clients to the company. Your consistent strategic outreach efforts will help create a robust pipeline of opportunities, giving the team the freedom to do their best work and select the ideal clients to work with.
More specifically, you will:
You will report directly to the company owner, Alex, and work closely with the new business team. The company plans to hire a Marketing Lead and an Accounts Lead shortly after this role is filled, and together, these three people, along with the owner, will represent one single team in charge of revenue, growth, and client success.
As part of the 3-month onboarding plan, you will have access to plenty of resources to get up to speed, including books, articles, and tutorial videos for primary tools like Apollo, Sales Navigator, and Hubspot. You'll have daily meetings with Alex to discuss your progress and make sure you have all the support you need. The company will also set up training overviews, portfolio reviews, and 1:1 meetings with every team member, so you can learn from the best and get a feel for how they all work together to serve their clients. By the third week, you'll be ready to dive into prospecting and outreach to one of the simpler ICP groups.
At first, you'll focus on list building and outreach, with Alex there to run those qualifying conversations. But as you gain more experience, you'll start taking over those conversations and eventually become a pro at qualifying leads, leading proposals, and negotiating. We're confident that within 3-6 months, you'll be ready to take on the world!
D&D believes in creating a positive and supportive work environment, where collaboration, humility, and kindness are highly valued. There is a strict “no ego” policy in place, meaning that they hire people who are team players and enjoy helping others succeed. It's not a competitive environment, and they’re not looking for someone who embodies the “work hard, play hard” mentality. The candidate should find fulfilment in assisting others and possess a natural curiosity for learning. If this sounds like you read, on!
To excel in this role, you need to have:
This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week, and you can have some flexibility when it comes to creating your schedule, as long as your core hours are from 9-12 AM ET to align with the rest of the team. While the company prefers you work during local hours, there may be occasions where you need to attend meetings with prospects in the evenings, which should happen only 2-3 times per month.
