Rockstar content writer/ editor needed to join our fast-growing food and travel website.

The position is on a remote basis giving you the flexibility to work on your hours. The role starts on a freelance or project basis with room to grow into a full-time position. For writing and editing, this position requires the highest levels of English language proficiency.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can create new content in the food and travel arena as well as edit existing content. Familiarity with SEO tools like SurferSEO is important for this role.

This role involves both creating content and editing content.

Content Creation

You will produce original high-quality articles reviewing different food-related activities from products, experiences, restaurants, to hotels.

For each article you will get:

• a good briefing with the outline and keyword research requirements
• you’ll use that to produce great articles that are ready for publication

Content Editing

You will be editing and SEO optimizing existing articles.

For each article, you will get:

• a good briefing with the outline and keyword research requirements
• you’ll use that to optimize great articles that are ready for publication

From time to time, you will also be editing articles written by other writers keeping the brand tone and guidelines in mind.

• You will be provided with a full briefing of the brand and the written guidelines

About You

To be successful in this role, you are:

• Creative with a strong command of the English language and passionate about writing high quality and easy-to-read food and travel articles
• Have a writing style that keeps readers engaged
• Edit and proofread copy to ensure it meets our editorial standards.
• Familiar with SEO optimization and able to adhere to the SEO standards while creating your content
• Familiar with product reviews
• Familiar with content editor tools such as SurferSEO to optimize your article content. Able to greenlight the SurferSEO while writing in an engaging manner without hurting readability
• You are good at working remotely, working smart for results, and working reliably.
• You are responsive, self-motivated, take responsibility, and highly organized.

About Us

I’m Rosemary, co-founder of a growing website with high-quality content about culinary experiences, from recipes, and food guides to product reviews. We write practical articles to help inform travelers of local food specialties in a particular destination. Examples include restaurant reviews, culinary activities reviews, product reviews, accommodation tips, etc

This role is for someone who is proactive, curious and obsessively compulsive about producing high quality original content.
